The transportation in the city is done by highway,airline,railway and seaway. The working on the highway which connects the west to the east and ends at the border of Pozantı province has been completed in the border of the city .

      HIGHWAY
   State Road
     There is a 454 km state road in the center of the city. The 119 km of it is concrete asphalt, 335 km is covered with plane.

City Road
There is a 405 km- long road in the city. The 6km of it is concrete asphalt, 216 km of it is plane covering ,51 km of it is stabilized yet not asphalted,121 km of it is soil road and 3 km of it is a road that doesn't give a gate.

Highway
In the city there is a 158 km long highway.This is a highway whose building of 144 km was completed and 14 km of the highway is still being built.

Village Road

In the city, 243 village-subdistrict and town municipality road is asphalted, 183 village-subdistrict and town municipality road is stabilized yet not asphalted, 71 village-subdistrict and town road is levelled. On the other hand, 55 village-subdistrict and town municipality is on the way of a highway. The length of the asphalted road is 1.588 km, the length of the stabilized road is 1.156 km, the length of the levelled road is 1.455 km the legth of the untreated road is 14 km the total road length is 4.213 km in the borders of the city..

AIRLINE
Adana Airport was opened to service as a civil-military airport in 1937. It was started to be used as a civil airport in 1956. It is 3,5 kms away from the city center.

     Parking Area Characteristics of the Airport: 87.000 m² dimension and with the 9 planes parking capacity.
      Besides, there is a 7.200 m² area for the agricultural insecticiding planes.

RAILWAYS
Today the transportation to different cities is done from Adana railway station . The railway was connected in 1860.There are 156 kms baseline, 23 km double line (Yenice-Adana), 26 km station way and subline, and there are 205 km railway totally. In the borders there are 11 stations.

The railway passes through Pozantı, Seyhan, Yüreğir, Ceyhan provinces and at the same time the borders of Karaisalı province. The number of the villages and towns that the state railway passes through or near are 20.

SEA-WAYS
There are Yumurtalık, Ceyhan, Karataş provinces.At the same time Botaş and the Port of Toros Gübre Company having a seaway are opened to international petrol and load transport business.

The fishing shelter which is in Karataş Province gives service to the region fishermen.
